8,447 miles = 1 new bike
Submitted by pcox on Wed, 12/02/2009 - 17:26
I just passed $1,000 in savings!!!
Now after 1 year and 40 weeks and 8,477 miles of alternative transportation, I've paid off the new bike I bought in May 2008!! Now that's something you can't do driving a car!! In fact every mile you drive, you lose money!
What are you other alternative transportation users saving your money for?? Let us all know and respond to this blog!!!
Pssst!!! Kids, listen up!!! I've heard some cool parents actually reimburse their kids for using alternative transportation...kind of a "green allowance". Ask your parents if you can get paid the money you save by using alternative transportation. Can't hurt to ask!!!!

That's awesome, congrats! I guess you've reached a milestone, no pun intended ;-).
Not sure yet what I'm saving my own money for but maybe this site will give me an inspiration. It wont be a bike though because I'm not too handy with them...I rather rely on my feet. :o)
THat's cool, i'd use that for
THat's cool, i'd use that for my thesis service about ecology
